What data Plaid Pizazz collects, and why.
Last updated: April 23, 2026
Who runs this site
Plaid Pizazz is an independent AI consulting firm operated by Marcellus Spears. This page describes what personal data the site collects, how it's used, how long it's kept, and the third-party services that process it on my behalf.
Questions about anything here? marcellus.spears@plaidpizazz.com — I reply within one business day.
Data I collect
- Contact form submissions — name, company, role, email, and the message you send. Used only to reply to your inquiry.
- Newsletter subscriptions — email address. Used to send The AI Operating Brief bi-weekly. Unsubscribe any time from any email.
- Payment + booking data — when you book an AI Readiness Assessment, Stripe collects your payment info and Calendly collects the call details (name, email, scheduled time). I see the confirmation, not the card number.
- Basic analytics — aggregate, non-identifying page view and referral data (Vercel Analytics). No personally-identifiable tracking, no third-party ad pixels.
How I use it
The data above is used only for the purpose it was given: replying to inquiries, sending the newsletter you asked for, delivering the Assessment you booked, and understanding which pages are read most often. I don't build profiles, sell data, or share contact information with third parties for marketing.
Third-party processors
Some services handle data on my behalf. Each one has its own privacy policy; this site only sends them what's needed.
- Stripe — processes Assessment payments. PCI-DSS compliant; I never see card numbers.
- Calendly — schedules discovery and walkthrough calls.
- Beehiiv — sends The AI Operating Brief newsletter.
- Resend — delivers transactional emails (inquiry replies, Assessment confirmations).
- Vercel — hosts the site and provides aggregate analytics.
How long I keep it
Contact form submissions and client correspondence are retained while you're an active prospect or client, plus three years after the engagement closes (for records and reference). Newsletter subscribers stay on the list until they unsubscribe. Payment records are kept for the legally-required retention period (seven years in the US).
Your rights
You can request a copy of the data I hold on you, request correction of anything inaccurate, or request deletion. Email marcellus.spears@plaidpizazz.com and I'll reply within one business day. For EU/UK residents, these rights sit under GDPR; for California residents, under CCPA.
Cookies
The site uses only essential cookies (session, security, analytics aggregation). No advertising cookies, no cross-site tracking. If that ever changes, this page will be updated and a cookie banner added.
Changes to this policy
I'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page when anything material changes. Substantial changes (new processors, new data categories) will also be mentioned in the next newsletter issue.
